Description
Wrought iron fences in coastal or seaside gardens are constantly exposed to salt spray, causing them to rust much faster than those inland; standard outdoor paints often fail within just 1–2 years. This package offers a customized on-site application plan specifically designed for high-salt-spray environments.
Tailored to the coastal location, we utilize a high-durability, salt-spray-resistant anti-corrosion system rather than conventional ironwork coatings. The plan mandates rigorous on-site rust removal—sanding down to the bare metal and thoroughly eliminating rust residue—complemented by metal passivation treatment to block electrochemical corrosion caused by salt. The coating system employs a three-layer protective structure: a salt-spray-resistant primer, a sealing coat, and a sea-breeze-resistant topcoat. The plan specifies operational constraints (prohibiting application during early-morning coastal condensation periods) and establishes a long-term maintenance schedule, including regular rinsing of salt crystals and inspections for paint film damage. It also outlines the limitations of standard paints in coastal areas, estimates the service life of this anti-corrosion system, and details on-site repair procedures for any paint damage.
